Antenna Tuner Box
The Antenna Tuner Box was developed for NeuroLux as part of an advanced wireless optogenetics system used in neuroscience research. The project focused on transforming a highly technical laboratory procedure into a more intuitive, accessible, and reliable user experience.
The device automates the antenna tuning process required for efficient wireless power transmission within experimental environments. Previously, achieving optimal settings demanded significant technical expertise and could take inexperienced users hours or even days. The redesigned Autotuner reduced this process to just a few minutes, significantly improving workflow efficiency and accessibility within laboratory environments.
From a design perspective, the project aimed to balance the precision and credibility expected from scientific equipment with a clean, approachable visual language. The compact architectural form, reduced interface complexity, and carefully organized interaction points were developed to support clarity, usability, and seamless integration into professional laboratory setups.
The project demonstrates how industrial design can bridge advanced technology and human-centered interaction, helping innovative research tools become more efficient, intuitive, and scalable for everyday scientific use.
