Industrial Design Service
From needs to products ready for the market
We help ambitious teams turn complex ideas into products that are meaningful to users, feasible to manufacture, and ready for the market.
Combining industrial design with expertise in human factors, technology and manufacturing, we help you make decisions early, reducing development risk, avoiding costly iterations, and keeping user needs, technical requirements, and business goals aligned.
From everyday products to medical and laboratory devices, we support the entire development journey from defining the opportunity and exploring concepts to prototyping, testing, and preparing the design for production.
Our process is transparent and collaborative. You stay involved at every stage, with clear communication, visible progress, and decisions grounded in evidence. We work alongside your team, specialists, and manufacturing partners to ensure that every design decision moves the product closer to a successful launch.
-
We start with a conversation to understand your needs and define the project brief. We gather key information about your expectations, requirements and your brand’s budget and capabilities. Together, we establish the main goals and design objectives. Based on this initial consultation, we prepare a tailored proposal and project timeline.
-
We research the niche and market relevant to your product. We explore current trends, user needs, and the competitive landscape. We identify relevant safety standards and legal requirements, as well as the available technologies and manufacturing possibilities within the defined scope.
We also work closely with specialists in relevant fields, including marketing, psychology, medicine and manufacturing. This research helps us identify opportunities, reduce risks and make informed design decisions that support both your users and your business.
-
Based on the research findings, we work with you to develop a product strategy tailored to your brand and goals. We make sure it aligns with your overall business and marketing strategy, creating a clear direction for the design process.
The scope of the strategy is up to you. It can focus on a single product, a collection, or your entire product portfolio.
The strategy defines the key design principles and priorities, balancing desirability, viability, feasibility, usability and safety. It provides a clear framework for decision-making throughout the project and helps ensure that the final product is not only desirable to users, but also aligned with your business goals and realistic to develop and manufacture.
Once completed, the Research & Insights and Design Strategy are shared with you for review, ensuring that we are aligned before moving on to the next stage of the design process.
-
Based on the agreed scope, we develop two or three design concepts for your product. Each concept is presented through clear, carefully crafted visuals and drawings that communicate its form, character, and key design features as accurately as possible.
We present the concepts to you during a dedicated review meeting, where we discuss and evaluate each proposal against the goals and principles defined in the Design Strategy. This gives you a clear basis for comparing the options and making an informed decision.
At this stage, you can share your feedback, comments, and suggestions for changes. We take your input into account to refine the concepts and make sure the proposed direction reflects your expectations.
You then choose the concept that best fits your needs and business goals. The selected direction is developed further in the next stage of the design process.
-
This stage focuses on refining the technical, functional, and quality aspects of the design and turning the selected concept into a working, testable product.
We usually build prototypes ourselves, drawing on hands-on workshop experience with materials such as metal, plastics, textiles, wood, and ceramics. When more advanced technologies or specialist knowledge are required, we collaborate with experienced technologists and manufacturers from the relevant industry. If your company has its own production facilities, we can also work together on prototyping at your site.
Depending on the industry and product type, we select appropriate testing methods to evaluate ergonomics, functionality, and user experience. We prepare the product for relevant safety testing, certifications, and regulatory requirements. We also optimise the design for manufacturing, plan for future servicing, and consider safe and efficient packaging for shipping.
Throughout the process, you stay informed about the testing results and key design decisions. We can send samples and prototypes to you, giving you the opportunity to evaluate them firsthand and make informed decisions at important stages of development.
At this stage, we can also support you in identifying and selecting suitable manufacturers and production partners, helping you move confidently from prototype to production.
-
We prepare clear and production-ready technical documentation, tailored to the chosen manufacturing technology and production scale. Our documentation provides manufacturers with the information they need to accurately produce the product and maintain consistent quality.
As production begins, we remain involved and responsive. We can make final adjustments when unexpected challenges or changes arise and work with you to review the quality of the first production samples.
We support you in solving technical issues and making informed production decisions, while maintaining clear communication with manufacturers and production partners. Our goal is to help ensure a smooth transition from design to production and that the final product stays true to the approved design.
-
We support you in bringing the product to market by providing the marketing materials you need, including product visualisations, descriptions, and other content. We are happy to collaborate with your graphic designers and marketing team to ensure the product is presented consistently across different channels.
We can also support the development of user manuals, packaging, trade show displays, and product animations, helping you communicate the value and functionality of the product to your customers.
With your approval, we are happy to share our collaboration and the final product on our social media channels, always following your preferred tone and communication guidelines.
After the product launch, we remain available for an agreed period of time, providing ongoing support and small design adjustments when needed for example, when changing a manufacturer, material, or production method.
We believe that good design is also about long-term collaboration. We stay in close contact, offering practical support, clear communication, and continuity as your product evolves.
