Zeekr 007 — parametric patterns
The project involved the development of parametric patterns for both the interior and exterior of the Zeekr 007, contributing to the vehicle’s distinctive visual identity and user experience. The work explored how generative design systems and digital aesthetics can become an integral part of contemporary automotive design language rather than purely decorative elements.
A central aspect of the project was the creation of dynamic visual patterns integrated into the vehicle’s interactive lighting surfaces and interior detailing. Inspired by digital fluidity, movement, and precision engineering, the patterns were designed to enhance the futuristic character of the vehicle while strengthening the emotional connection between the user and the car.
The design approach combined algorithmic structure with refined visual restraint, balancing technological expression with the premium minimalism characteristic of the Zeekr brand. Particular attention was given to scalability, consistency across different touchpoints, and the integration of graphic systems into physical surfaces and lighting interactions.
The Red Dot Design Award-winning Zeekr 007 became recognized internationally for its forward-looking design language, including the customizable “Stargate” lighting interface that transformed the front of the vehicle into an interactive communication surface.
The project demonstrates how computational design methodologies can expand the role of surface design within automotive experiences — turning patterns into functional, emotional, and brand-defining elements.
